3NAMES was born out of frustration. We were tired of juggling five different apps just to manage our university life. So we decided to build the one app that does it all.
How it started
In September 2024, three friends at the University of Lagos sat in the library staring at a wall of sticky notes — deadlines, class schedules, group meeting times, club events — all scattered across different apps, notebooks, and WhatsApp groups.
“There has to be a better way,” someone said. That night, we started sketching the first wireframes for what would become 3NAMES.
Six months later, we launched a beta to 200 students. Within a week, 1,500 more had signed up. By the end of the semester, word-of-mouth had carried 3NAMES to 10,000 active users across 30 universities.
Today, 3NAMES serves over 50,000 students at 200+ universities — and we're just getting started.
